Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw was born on 25 November 1968 in Raipur. His father's name is late Shri Abhay Ram Saw and mother's name is Smt. Pramila Saw. Shri Arun Saw got married to Smt. Meena Saw on 17 April 2000. They have one son. Shri Saw has completed B.Com. from Government SNG College, Mungeli and LLB from Kaushalendra Rao Law College, Bilaspur.
Coming from a farmer family, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Saw is an advocate by profession. He has travelled from practicing as an advocate in Mungeli Civil Court to becoming the Deputy Advocate General of the state. After practicing in Bilaspur High Court, he has been Deputy Government Advocate from March-2005 to February-2006, Government Advocate from March-2006 to August-2013 and Deputy Advocate General of Chhattisgarh from September-2013 to January-2018.
Mr. Sao has been active in many cultural and social activities since 1990 as a member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and other organizations. He has also held many responsibilities in the Tehsil, District and State Organization of Sahu Samaj. He is very interested in watching and playing sports like Kabaddi, Volleyball, Cricket and Badminton as well as visiting places of historical and mythological importance.
Mr. Arun Sao was elected MP from Bilaspur Lok Sabha constituency in 2019. As an MP, he was a member of the Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Coal and Mines and the Standing Committee on Coal and Steel in the 17th Lok Sabha.
